IMAGER HSX - IMAGICA's 4th generation pin-registered digital film scanner utilizes a custom designed LED illumination system and optics together with a CCD area sensor to deliver outstanding performance of 10 fps in 2K and 8 fps in 4K.
The new IMAGER HSX design and features, combined with IMAGICA's proven film handling and image processing technologies provide world-class image quality and performance in this latest model.

HSX- Originality
IMAGICA's next generation scanner is equipped with our custom designed high speed, high resolution area array CCD camera supporting resolutions up to 4096 x 3112 pixels (4k version) and precision 14bit AD conversion.
By applying narrow band LED illumination, the system achieves excellent color separation for superior color rendition. Also due to the short exposure, there is thermal stress to film during scanning.
HSX- High Reliability
IMAGICA’s history of delivering scanners featuring gentle and reliable film transports is continued with the HSX scanner. Our newly developed fast mechanical pin registered gate insures rock solid steadiness, while the rest of the transport protects the film from damage even when scanning at high speed.
Release Schedule
The 4k HSX product launch is planned for Q2 2009.
An 8k version (8192 x 6224 pixels), is planned to follow in late 2009.
