IMAGER XE®-ADVANCED PLUS- is a true 4K-scanner using 500W xenon lamp as light source. Equipped with original designed tri linear CCD camera system, including 14-bit AD conversion with 16-bit image processing. Therefore, IMAGER XE®-ADVANCED PLUS- can represent full density range of color negative.Resolution
IMAGER XE®-ADVANCED PLUS- is capable of scanning full-frame 4perf 35mm at 4096* 3112 pixels and 8perf 35mm (VistaVision) at 6144* 4096 pixels. This can be down-sampled to 3K and 2K while still retaining the quality of 4K.There are also options to scan 16mm film (including Super 16) and 3 perf 35mm.
An additional 10K-pixel camera option produces detailed, over-sampled 4K images suitable for the most demanding of visual effects jobs and high quality Digital Master.
Film Handing
IMAGER XE®-ADVANCED PLUS- features a precision pin-registered transport which is the result of over 10 years experience in the manufacture of scanners and has always been proven/accepted among the market as being gentle to films.
Also the film path is protected from dust during scanning by the glass door of the machine.
The improved splice jump free gate option is especially suited to Digital Intermediate, using special configuration pins to handle cut negative with many splices. With this option, the scanned image result will be steady regardless of what spliced film you scan.
The proprietary gate has optical sensors to ensure smooth, safe shuttling with minimal contact and high-speed advance to the middle of the film roll in an instant. The IMAGER XE® -ADVANCED PLUS- can handle 2000 foot reels and shuttles at up to 100 feet per minute.
Scanning
IMAGER XE®-ADVANCED PLUS- is capable of scanning 2K Cineon-format frames in 1.3seconds, 4K resolution in 1.9 seconds and transfers them direct to an external disk over Gigabit Ethernet.Various file formats are supported by the IMAGER XE
-ADVANCED PLUS- , enabling it to output Cineon (FIDO) 10-bit log, DPX 10-bit log, TIFF 16-bit linear, SGI 16-bit linear, TIFF 8-bit linear, and SGI 8-bit linear. The IMAGER XE®-ADVANCED PLUS- keykode option also allows keykode information to be saved in the headers of DPX files.

* FLC (Feedback for Light-source Compensator) suppresses the data fluctuation caused by the light source and extends the lifetime of the Lamp.* Automatic focus calibration mechanism.
